Job Description
The Associate will play a key role in supporting the Workforce and Education Excellence Department through rigorous analysis and data-informed insights. This role involves leveraging data analytics, advanced Excel skills, data visualization tools, and PowerPoint to produce high-impact reports and presentations. The Associate will develop slide decks, dashboards, and fiscal models that guide decision-making and policy evaluation. The position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings clearly and professionally in both English and Spanish. The Analyst will estimate fiscal impacts, assist in evaluating compensation plan proposals, and support strategic planning through data-driven analysis.
- Perform detailed data analysis and fiscal/ budgetary impact modeling.
- Create and maintain complex Excel models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and budget impact estimates.
- Conduct simple econometric analyses, including multiple regression models.
- Prepare clear and visually effective graphs, charts, dashboards, and other data visualizations to communicate analytical findings.
- Draft technical memos, policy briefs, and reports in both English and Spanish.
- Develop and design PowerPoint presentations, including slide structure, visuals, and narrative alignment.
- Support the preparation of periodic reports and evaluations on reform initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, policy, human resources, and budget.
- Contribute to the development of data collection tools, templates, and methodologies.
- Support ad hoc requests for data, charts, projections, policy memos, and briefings.
- Perform data cleaning, validation, and integration from multiple sources.
- Other tasks as requested by the Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director, Department Director and Implementation Support Lead.
Key Relationships
Internal Relationships
Daily contact with the Directors, Managers, Leads, and staff to achieve the objectives of PROMESA.
External Relationships
Frequent contact with consultants, government agencies, attorneys and other stakeholders as needed.
Supervisory responsibilities
The position does not involve supervisory responsibility.

- Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in data analysis, public finance, or policy analysis.
- Experience working in government, nonprofit, or consulting environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
- Strong commitment to detail, prioritization, and time management; ability to meet tight deadlines with accuracy.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Ability to write clearly, concisely, and professionally in both English and Spanish.
- Experience with data storytelling and presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
